Who we are

DPZ Kootenays Ltd., operating as Domino’s Pizza, is a franchise operator of 12 Domino’s Pizza stores across British Columbia and Alberta. Our registered office is Suite 300, 155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 3H8.

We are a Canadian company, and Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), applies to how we handle personal information.

What this policy covers

This policy covers two things we operate: this website, dpzcanada.ca, and DPZK Team, our internal app for current employees. It does not cover the Domino’s Pizza Canada ordering platform at pizza.dominos.ca, which has its own privacy policy for customer orders.

This website

This website does not require an account, does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and does not set tracking cookies. If you apply for a job through one of the links on this site, your application is submitted to our job application platform, and the information you provide there is used by us to consider you for employment.

The DPZK Team app

DPZK Team is for current employees only. There is no public sign-up.

• Signing in. Employees sign in with a one-time code. The code is sent to the employee’s work email, or, where the employee chooses it, by text message to a mobile number the employee provides. Text-message sign-in is optional and can be turned off in favour of email at any time.
• Scheduling and leave. The app holds scheduling and availability information, and shift and sick-leave records, for the employee’s own store.
• Hiring and onboarding. The app holds hiring and onboarding records for applicants and staff, such as the information collected during hiring and any onboarding steps completed in the app.
• Delivery-proof photographs. Delivery drivers can take a photograph through the app’s camera as proof of delivery. That photograph is attached to the delivery record it belongs to.
• Offline storage. The app keeps a local copy of relevant data on the employee’s device so it keeps working without a signal, and syncs that copy with our servers once the device is back online.

Why we collect this information

We collect and use this information to run our stores: to schedule shifts, record availability and leave, manage hiring and onboarding, confirm deliveries were completed, authenticate employees signing in, and meet our obligations as an employer under applicable employment and tax law.

Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers who help us run the business, such as payroll processors and the technology provider that hosts the DPZK Team app, only to the extent needed to provide those services. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as employment, tax or other law requires us to keep it, whichever is longer. After that, we securely delete it or remove information that identifies you.

Security

We restrict access to personal information to the people who need it to do their jobs, and we take reasonable steps to protect it against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete, subject to legal and legitimate business exceptions (for example, records we are required to keep). Employees can also raise a scheduling, availability or record correction directly with their manager or area supervisor.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always applies, and the date below shows when it last changed.
